INTERVIEW: BRUCE "MAC" McCLELLAN, CPO

Bruce McClellan, CPO is a coauthor of the 1989 research paper titled "Does Socket Configuration Influence the Position of the Femur in Above-Knee Amputation?" He is the lone certified prosthetist affiliated with this study. The interview was conducted by email exchange between Charles King, CP and Bruce McClellan, CPO, which was completed and assembled in this interview format on 10/17/07

Charles Pritham, CPO has the distinction of being the editor of both Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics (CPO) and the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO) during the O&P industry's incorporation and acceptance of the ischial containment prosthetic socket design. Two Journal issues stand out in particular on this topic, the "New Concepts in AK Sockets" 1985 issue of the CPO, which can be viewed here and the 1989 JPO publication of Dr. Gottschalk's X-ray survey of transfemoral limbs, available here. The interview was conducted by email exchange between Charles King, CP and Charles Pritham, CPO, which was completed and assembled in this interview format on 01/02/08.
